Client: National Association of Certified Professional Midwives
Challenge: The Midwives and Mothers in Action (MAMA) Campaign is a national effort to gain federal recognition of Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs) so that women and families will have increased access to quality, affordable maternity care in the settings of their choice. This movement needed assets to brand their materials as they worked to promote their cause. 
Process:  The campaign needed a header to be used in fact sheets, and on their website that would both name and explain their cause. In addition, the Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs) needed an update of their seal. The two looks needed to coordinate. An illustration showing the relationship between midwives, mothers, and children was developed and added to the organization's logo. 
Outcome: The MAMA campaign could move forward in their efforts to secure recognition of CPMs in federal legislation that would mandate reimbursement for CPM services by Medicaid, with materials that would lend a more organized and professional look to their efforts.
